Kubota K008-3 micro excavator hire

Specifications are based on Kubota’s published Australian-market K008-3 data and are a guide only. Attachment setup, ground conditions and the actual access path can affect suitability. Measure the narrowest point of the whole route, not just the gate opening.
A micro excavator for genuinely tight access
The K008-3 is not simply the cheapest excavator in the fleet. Its job is to reach work areas that can rule out a larger mini excavator. With the undercarriage retracted to about 700 mm, it can suit narrow side access, tight gates and confined residential routes where every millimetre matters.
Once through the restricted section, the tracks can expand to 860 mm. That wider stance is useful when the site allows it, but access still needs to be assessed for turns, walls, posts, steps, slopes, eaves and soft ground.
What a K008-3 micro excavator is good for
For the right job, this compact Kubota is a practical choice for narrow-access landscaping, drainage and service trenches, irrigation work, small footings, garden excavation and renovation jobs behind existing homes.
Its maximum digging depth is about 1.72 m and ground-level reach is about 3.03 m. If your access allows a larger machine and the job needs more depth, reach or productivity, the Kubota U17-3 mini excavator is usually the better starting point.

The $200 daily rate includes the K008-3 attachment package: three buckets and a sleeper grab, with no separate daily hire charge for those included attachments.

That deliberately simple package suits the jobs this micro excavator is hired for. Where access is the main constraint, most customers want the three useful bucket sizes and a grab without carrying a larger attachment package into a confined site.
K008-3 or U17-3?
Choose the K008-3 when access is the limiting factor. Its roughly 700 mm minimum width is the reason this micro excavator exists in the fleet.

Delivery available across Northern Rivers & Tweed
Delivery and collection are available for $150 within approximately 20 km where applicable, with longer distances quoted individually. Delivery is the usual option where practical. Approved customer collection from Tweed Heads is available by appointment when the driver, tow vehicle and electric brake controller meet the requirements.
