The K008-3 micro excavator is not positioned as the cheap alternative to the U17-3 mini excavator. It is a specialist choice where very tight access prevents a larger machine reaching the work area. For most residential work, start with the 1.7T and move up when the job needs more capability.
Attachment packages vary by machine, but the included attachments do not attract separate daily hire charges. The K008-3 includes three buckets and a sleeper grab. The U17-3 and U25-3 include three buckets, ripper, auger package, hydraulic rock grabber and sleeper grab. Other machine inclusions are confirmed when you enquire.

Choose the machine around the site and the job
Access conditions across Northern Rivers and Tweed can vary significantly between suburban blocks, acreage, sloping sites and established properties. Measure the complete route to the work area, including gates, posts, walls, turns, slopes, eaves and soft ground.
The 0.9T K008-3 retracts to approximately 700 mm for genuinely restricted access. The U17-3 is the more useful all-rounder where roughly 990 mm access is available. The U25-3 and ViO55-6B step up capability where the site has the room for a larger machine.
Northern Rivers delivery and collection
Delivery and collection are available for $150 within approximately 20 km where applicable, with longer distances quoted individually. Delivery is the usual option where practical and we will confirm access and timing before the hire.
For delivered hires, Digger2Hire normally retains the plant trailer unless otherwise agreed beforehand. Approved customer collection from Tweed Heads is available by appointment when the driver, tow vehicle, electric brake controller and confirmed transport arrangement meet the requirements.
Delivery, return and collection times are arranged directly with Rick rather than around a fixed standard depot closing time. Where practical, after-hours arrangements can be made.

The practical delivery core is around the Tweed Heads base. Delivery and collection are $150 within approximately 20 km where applicable, with longer distances quoted individually. Broader Northern Rivers jobs can still be considered without implying the local delivery rate applies automatically to Ballina, Lismore, Byron Bay or other longer-distance locations.
